The breakfast was terrific with a good mix of local and international food. and many types of chilli. There is a mall 10 mins walking distance away.

Good lay for the breakfast. The staff, especially the Restaurant Manager is very polite and helps you.

The Airconditioning in the Rooms needs to be improved. Practically the Aircon of the Rooms 615 & 619 were not at all effective.

The sunrise view and the pool was amazing,

They have two elevator, but one with card and the another one was broken so if u left ur elevator card and u got the elevator with card, u can't go to ur room. So the hotel must fix this situation.

Good stay in a nice hotel with great location, though the room had some issues.

This was a great 6-nights stay in a nice hotel with great views and walking areas nearby. - Breakfast was very delicious with a large variety. - All staff personnel was very nice and friendly. - The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, sleeping quality was very good (though extra furniture was not comfortable at all). - Location is very central, will mall, supermarket and some restaurants in a walking distance, and more malls being built. - WiFi connection was stable, but slow by international standards (1-2mb/s), still good for Indonesia. - Gym is very well equipped. After embarrassing and poorly equipped gym in Swiss Belhotel Makassar I was expecting the same, but this one was great. The only downside - the A/C in gym was always off, and I could not figure out how to turn it on. I guess people don't use it often for some reason.

We stayed in "Executive Queen" room, and we were expecting better facilities, than in regular double room. However, there were quite a lot of issues with a room: - The bathtub was leaking. After you take a shower, in next hour some of water will flood on the floor, making bathroom uncomfortable to use. - Ventilation in bathroom is either not working or not existing. The water doesn't dry up, so if you leave the bathroom closed after taking a shower, it will feel and smell like jungle. - You can't make the bathroom door not closing :). We ended up placing trashbins in a doorway to fix the door being opened. But all of this is ridiculous. - Curtain holder was broken (though it was still holding somehow). - Water pressure was very low. - The extra furniture which goes in every executive queen room was very uncomfortable, and slightly in a bad condition. Chairs were not stable, and sofa had holes in it. We even thought to ask to bring regular chairs from restaurant or somewhere else :). - There was an ongoing construction works (as of March 2020), which was very loud sometimes. - The working place had only one electrical socket, and it was used by room's wifi router.

2 Nights at Swisss-Belhotel Balikpapan

The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Surprisingly the rooms also have a nice balcony with a view of the sea. Nice bar. Check-in and Check-out was handled professionally. Overall very good value for money.

The lifts were awfully slow. The wait time was quite long.

Relatively a nice comfortable place to stay.

Pillows are comfy. Room is nice but the aircon control is not working too well. The bathroom tap is powerful but wasting water as the function of the plug for the shower is not working too well. But the room is clean.

Everyone very helpful, friendly and professional. Nothing was too difficult and every problem solved immediately. I’ve stayed there before and it just get better and better. Highly recommended.

Great Indonesian breakfast. Very helpful staff

We had a little issue with the bathroom, but that was solved in a few days. For tourism we didn't like Balikpapan. For diner not everything is available.

Good hotel to visit for an overnight stay in Balikpapan

Overall the hotel is a great place to stay for a quick visit to Balikpapan. Our group of 8 were on a diving holiday, so found staying here overnight to be a great choice. Breakfast buffet catered to all our tastes. Dinner was excellent as were the bar staff.

Puts the Swiss-Bel Name to Shame

The location. Would've been good if the mall was actually functioning.

The entire hotel. Really puts the Swiss-Bel name to shame. I was there to see the ballroom for an event. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by unpleasantness. We went into the lobby and it seemed like they turned off the ac when no guests are around to cut costs. The ballroom reeked of trash. The corridors to the room were damp with moldy spots on the ceilings. The room was always dark no matter how many lights we turned on. We were given 2 free movie tickets, but it was at a nearly non-functioning mall so no thank you. I'm wondering if this is a Balikpapan Swiss-Bel thing because I've had an unpleasant experience with Swiss-BelInn Balikpapan too.

Had a massage at the day spa, but it wasn’t on a proper massage table. Would be more comfortable with a proper table.

there is a leak on my bath room, the balcony of my room is not suitable for children and it is a little dark for my taste. other than that everything is ok.
